So you’ve introduced a new syllable pattern and you think your student understands. Now’s the time to get out the puzzle. S/he X’s each square that has an example of the syllable pattern introduced, getting lots of practice with what is and is not the pattern, while you observe for any areas of confusion. Once the first X is made, students should look for an adjoining square rather than searching line by line. Students look forward to doing a puzzle with each new syllable pattern. Fun for all ages.

  • Six puzzles, one for each syllable pattern. First one featured above.
  • Answer sheets, showing X’s, and a line drawing connecting the X’s (shown below).
  • Unlimited copying rights to purchaser.
